I suspect like all parents who are deciding on whether to get their child diagnosed, the process felt very daunting. We were referred to Alex and the team by another psychologist we had been seeing (and whom we greatly respect) so we knew we were in very good hands. The team made the process as easy as they possibly could and were incredibly patient and encouraging throughout. We really were not sure what the diagnostic assessment would deliver but Alex talked us through the process, and it felt like we made the journey together. We had the result that our daughter has Aspergers (High Functioning Autism). The diagnosis takes a while to sink in, however it has allowed us to start down the road to get her the help she requires and understand her more. We are very glad we have had her diagnosed and see the process as a positive one. We would highly recommend Alex and everyone we saw at The Orchard Child Psychology Service.
