About Katie
“I have worked as a Child and Adolescent Psychotherapist and Counsellor supporting young people and families both privately and in a range of school settings (nursery, primary, secondary and charity) since 2008, additionally setting up a counselling service in an independent day school in London, where I also work providing one-to-one weekly therapy sessions for pupils age 4-18. Being trained integratively, means that I can blend a range of creative tools and talking therapy to help when children are experiencing or displaying emotional distress through behaviour that begins to have a significant impact on daily life and functioning. I bring curiosity, warmth, compassion and playfulness into the therapeutic relationship to help a wide range of children and young people through times of upheaval, hopelessness and distress. Offering a reflective space for both children, adolescents and their families I promote collaboration and ‘thinking together’ about the young person, sustaining hope, nurturing potential and building on strengths.”

“Essential to my wellbeing is taking time in nature, as this is where I give something back to myself. I love to spend time with my family, and we often tramp through the woods together, sometimes with a borrowed Shetland pony in tow, yet always feeling thoroughly blessed to live surrounded by such beauty. When I’m not exploring my outer world, I like to spend time exploring my creative and inner world with painting, music, breathwork and EFT.”
